Out-of-town visitors prompted a trip to Meijer Gardens to see the Chihuly exhibit. I've always been fascinated by art that uses glass or ceramic as a medium, perhaps a holdover from having worked on volcanoes. I like things born of fire or tempered by fire. When I look at glass work, I get lost and imagine I can see whole worlds and galaxies in the swirls of color and texture. I am transported. Enjoy the pictures but do yourself a favor; go see it in person and be transported to a beautifully alien world.
