I've noticed a subtle trend toward classier and more thoughtful attire for the everyday, the antithesis of sweatpants and an ill-fitting t-shirt, if you will. If these three young women are an indication of this trend, the future looks bright!

ESF-color

I love a pop of color (who doesn't?) These two young ladies have it going on. One wearing a color I can't, but still love and the other wearing a style I can't, but still love. I'll leave you to figure out which is which!

Fall color palette

What do you wear on a brisk early-autumn morning at a street fair? I love that men are getting back into wearing hats that are not baseball or stocking caps!

shut eye

Sad to say, but the "eye" has been shut down for over a year! But we're not out of it. Fashion continues to be my favorite hobby but I think the format of this blog is going to have to change if the blog is to continue! Today I find myself musing over the shift "back" to the 70s. I'll date myself now and say this is when I began to take a serious look at fashion but, being a poor teen, did not have much $$ to spend. I'm delight to now be able to indulge (in moderation) in some of my favorite styles of the era.

Fall in general brings me back to one of my favorite fabrics for pants: corduroy. I am delighted with the new shapes and styles that are out there this season, but none charms me more than the high-waited flare, particularly in falls colors like this one (above left) from JBrand!

A close second is this lovely pair of corduroy leggings from Gap (above right) in my new favorite fall color. Pair with a chunky sweater and ankle boots and, "voila!" you're ready to meet fall head-on.

Other delights include midi-length skirts, knit turtle-necks, silky blouses, and stacked heel boots. I can't wait to mix and match. Happy Fall!
